It's a new day

Wed Feb 25, 2009, 1:44 AM
I woke this morning, around 8 or 9, too early for me. I dragged myself up and out of bed, stumbled down the hallway, and towards the bathroom. It was quite because everyone had already left for school or work. In the bathroom, I splashed my face with water to bring my body up to date with the fact that I wasn't sleeping anymore. Before leaving the bathroom, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror which hung over the sink. "Geesus!" I thought "I look awful." I dried my face with a handtowel, then used it to wipe the sand away from the inside corner of my eyes sockets. I took a second glance into the mirror to see if there was any improvement in my condition. My mind registered every subtle change: my eyes were no longer glassy, the sand was gone, and the greasy shine of skin after a full nights rest was dulled significantly. I fashioned a pair of pistols by extending fully my thumb and index fingers on both hands, then mockingly fired two of three shoots at my reflection. “Bang! Bang! Got yah!” I said with a sinister smile on my face.

I walked from one room in the house to another, stopping at every television set, and flicking them all on. Each set displayed a different channel, but it didn’t really matter. I wasn’t watching any of them, just filling the empty house with nose so I wouldn't feel like an astronaut lost in space.

Catch-22 which I had started reading the night was a good way to pass some time before I had to start the day. I went outside and smoke a few cigarettes. The taste of smoke filled by mouth, and slightly stung my nostrils as i would force the exhaust out of my nose. afterwords i went back inside, changed out of my sweats, into jeans, and walked out of the front door.

Thank you so much hun! I really appricate the love. Honestly that's totally what I was trying to capture in the painting. :) So I'm glad it's being seen that way.

I get the feeling of total utter happiness when I'm painting I think maybe that shows threw in most of my work. Just Love. Pure Love is what I feel.

Well Thank you so much for your input. I like to see light at the end of the tunnel and I think this is why I enjoy the second piece more. The dove represents piece over the world. I just feel that the other painting sends more of a message about what’s going on in the world right now. Everyone is much more concerned with materialistic garbage then the true things that matter yah know… That’s totally the portrayal in the first piece which… in the end because of it’s negative tones was just less eye pleasing to me. I read this quote and it always sticks in my mind.

“Anything else you are interested in is not going to happen if you can’t breathe the air or drink the water. Don’t sit this one out! Do something you are by accident of fate alive at an absolutely critical moment in the history of our planet.”

I don’t believe in accidents but the quote stuck with me.

Thanks again for the input I appreciate true views instead of just. I like or I don’t like I enjoy when people tear it apart and see it for what they feel.
